Barbagliata or Barbajada is an ancient Milanese specialty. In 1859 in Piazza della Scala, in some old houses facing the famous theater, the "Caffè dei Virtuosi" was built, where the "Barbaja" created a very exquisite type of hot chocolate that soon won the favor of the entire Milanese elite. At the Caffè dei Virtuosi people discuss about business, society, culture and politics, enjoying sweets and this historic drink that is a little coffee and a little chocolate.

Preparation: (for 1 cup) pour the contents of one sachet into a saucepan and gradually add 125ml of milk and a cup of coffee to taste, stirring until a homogeneous cream is obtained. Bring to a boil over moderate heat. Pour into a cup, garnish with whipped cream to taste and serve.
Ingredients: sugar, cocoa powder, corn starch, gelling agent: carrageenan, thickener: locust bean gum, natural flavors. Gluten free.
